Leading with a Customer Focus and Innovation: Reflections on Becoming a Member of the AIIM Company of Fellows
At KnowledgeLake, we’ve always believed that the way organizations manage information should be as intelligent and intuitive as the people behind them. We’ve spent over two decades building solutions that empower teams to do their best work—free from the friction of manual processes and the limits of legacy systems.
This mission has never been more relevant than it is today, as we move to develop and harness artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities that unlock new possibilities in document processing and workflow automation. And it’s with deep gratitude and pride that I share a personal milestone on this journey: my recent induction into the Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM) Company of Fellows.
A Tradition of Leadership
Founded in 1963, the AIIM Company of Fellows recognizes professionals who have made significant contributions to the field of information management. On April 1st, no joke, I was humbled to be inducted as Fellow #247, alongside two outstanding leaders: Miguel Zubizarreta (Fellow #245) and Barry Primes, CIP (Fellow #246). The ceremony also honored Dan Lucarini, who received the AIIM Award of Merit for his ongoing dedication and impact in the industry.
To be counted among this distinguished group of innovators, educators, and changemakers is truly an honor—and a reminder of the responsibility we all share to keep moving our industry forward.
A Unified, AI-Driven Platform at Our Core
This fellowship is a meaningful recognition of a core belief that’s guided my career: the need to continually adapt and innovate. At KnowledgeLake, we’ve reimagined document processing through a unified platform that integrates Content Management, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Automation (RPA), and AI.
More than automation, our platform understands context, learns over time, and evolves with business needs—enabling organizations to capture, process, and act on information at scale. From intelligent classification to end-to-end workflow orchestration, it reduces manual work, accelerates decisions, and empowers people to focus on what truly drives value. What we call Synthetic Labor™, a way of leveraging AI to maximize human potential.
To us, AI isn’t just a tool—it’s a reliable teammate.
A Shared Mission with the AIIM Community
Being recognized by AIIM—a longtime leader in intelligent information management—is a full-circle moment that validates the impact of our work at KnowledgeLake. Leveraging AI to redefine what’s possible in this space isn’t just relevant—it’s making a real difference.
What makes this honor even more meaningful is AIIM’s steadfast commitment to innovation, education, and community. As a former Chair of the Board I’ve seen firsthand how AIIM unites thought leaders and practitioners to shape the future of our industry.
AIIM President & CEO Tori Miller Liu captured it perfectly: “This year’s honorees represent the innovative mindset and dedication that drives our field forward.” I’m truly grateful to Tori and the AIIM community for this recognition—and for their ongoing pursuit of excellence.
Looking Ahead
As we look to the future, our focus at KnowledgeLake remains clear: to help organizations unlock the full value of their information through smart, secure, and scalable solutions. This honor is not just a personal milestone—it’s a testament to the work our team continues to do every day, and to the partnerships we’ve built with forward-thinking customers around the world.
To the AIIM community, my KnowledgeLake family, and everyone who has supported me on this journey: thank you. Here's to the road ahead—one that promises continued innovation, collaboration, and impact.
